a hyundai to get excited about??

There has been a lot of buzz in the drifting world about Hyundai's release of the new RWD sport coupe named the Genesis. Hyundai has released the car to select tuners around the world and I have recently seen pictures of what HKS has to offer (official release will be at SEMA 2008). This is the first Hyundai I can seriously say I want to purchase. Check it out.

since there have not been many updates on my projects lately

I figure I will fill the blog with things I, and hopefully you as well, find interesting until I have project updates. I figure I would start with hybrid/electric powered vehicles. My qualm with these cars is that for some reason, hybrid/electric cars go hand in hand with  ugly colors and lackluster design. Honestly, if I am going to buy a gas-sipping, tree-hugging mobile, I still want to have a decent looking car. Cars like the Toyota Prius are very fuel efficient but do not appeal to my aesthetic needs. The car resembles a baby shoe and screams hippie mobile, which may be what you want. I worked at a Honda Dealership a few years back and saw some of the strangest colors on the Hybrid Civics and Insights there. Everything from puke green to really pale blues.
Tesla Motors got it right with the Tesla Roadster; The first electric car I really could see myself driving.

colors

So in dreaming of the perfect car to suit my needs, one of the more important aspects of it is the paint/finish. In my scouring of the internet I have found many desirable examples of how I want my s13 to look. I love the satin black finish that seems to be catching on throughout the industry. Im also a fan of the greyish/bluish color on the Esperanza/Calm FD3S. Another car I'm a fan of is the tan colored RPS13. And finally, the most expensive finish, is the full Carbon Fiber JZA80 built in Sweden for track use.

Well its been a while...

and there have been some changes as well. while i havent done much on the Z recently, i bought a new project and a couple of parts as well. The new project is a 89 240sx coupe. The car is relatively clean on the outside except for a little bit of rust bubbling around the sunroof. I bought some wide ZG flares originally for the Z but after seeing a couple of s13's with them on, I have fallen in love with the look.
